"Iowa Egg Company Warned of Salmonella in Hens"

Large scale factory farming is so unhealthy. Here's another article on finding salmonella in hens and eggs at large corporate farms. What's really scary is that the scientist who discovered the presence of salmonella four months before an outbreak requiring the recall of 550 million eggs said, "they had no legal or ethical obligation to alert regulators or consumers." They did let the egg company executives know. And now the executives are under investigation as to whether they misled the public that their products were safe. Of course this all begs the question of why we allow and put up with this kind of food production in the first place.
